Situated in a charming position on the top of a smooth hillside, surrounded by the wilderness of mediterranean woods and shrubland, Podere Santa Pia offers an extensive view of a breathtaking panorama all the way to the sea. The beautifully situated terrace has views over what seems like half of southern Tuscany. On clear days, you can have a great view of the islands of Monte Argentario, Montecristo, and even Corsica.
As the public health situation starts to improve, Podere Santa Pia is opening during the 2021 summer,

Podere Santa Pia was named after Pia de' Tolomei, a woman with an intriguing story. According to some legends, the beautiful Pia di Tolomei, the sorrowful wife of Nello d'Inghiramo de Pannocchieschi, crossed the Ponte della Pia to go into exile in Maremma, at Castello della Pietra. There her husband ordered her execution so he could marry his mistress Margherita Aldobrandeschi, Contessa of Sovana and Pitigliano. Read more about this intreging story here.

Collegium Vocale Crete Senesi is an annual music festival under the artistic direction of Philippe Herreweghe in the beautiful region of the Crete Senesi in Tuscany.
Program 2021| Collegium Vocale Crete Senesi offers a week full of music from 25 till 30 July 2021. Unfortunately it is still too early for detailed information.
The magnificent hills of the Crete Senesi offer artistic routes with evocative and suggestive landscapes. Typical conformations of the land are the badlands, the ruffles, and biancane that give the landscape its characteristic gray color and a sometimes lunar appearance.
